Shiva and Connar’s wedding was a vibrant reflection of their love and the rich traditions they hold dear. They chose the elegant Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle as their wedding venue, a luxurious space that blends contemporary style with stunning city views. Located in the heart of Newcastle, the hotel’s Stephenson Quarter Room provided the perfect backdrop for their heartfelt ceremony.
The morning began with capturing Shiva as he prepared for the day with his groomsparty, surrounded by laughter and the celebratory pop of Prosecco. Meanwhile, Connar was getting ready with his wedding party in another suite, both filled with excitement for the day ahead.
Before the ceremony, an intimate drinks reception took place in the hotel’s top-floor Club Lounge, offering breathtaking views of Newcastle’s iconic Quayside, setting the scene for the emotional moments to come.
Emotional Vows & A Joyful Celebration
Their ceremony was nothing short of beautiful. The Stephenson Quarter Room provided an intimate yet grand setting for their vows, with every moment filled with love and emotion. As they exchanged promises in front of family and friends, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
After the ceremony, the couple made their way outside, where they were showered in confetti—a joyful moment marking the start of their new journey together.
A Magical Wedding Photoshoot on Newcastle’s Quayside
One of the most unforgettable parts of the day was the couple’s wedding photoshoot on Newcastle’s Quayside. As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow across the city, we took advantage of the stunning urban scenery to create timeless wedding portraits.
The Millennium Bridge, The Glass house (formerly The Sage), and Tyne Bridge provided the perfect iconic backdrops for their couple’s shoot, highlighting the beauty of both their love and the city they cherish. Every frame captured their deep connection, from candid laughter to intimate embraces, framed by Newcastle’s breathtaking skyline.
Shiva and Connar’s outfits were perfectly coordinated, standing out against the historic and modern architecture. Their natural chemistry and joy radiated through each shot, making this photoshoot not just about photography, but about preserving the raw, emotional essence of their love story.

An Unforgettable Evening Reception
After the wedding breakfast and heartfelt speeches, it was time to turn up the energy. The evening reception began with Shiva and Connar’s electrifying entrance, accompanied by live Dhol drummers, setting the perfect high-energy tone for the night. Guests erupted into cheers as they took to the dance floor, creating an atmosphere that was nothing short of electric.
In keeping with Indian wedding traditions, the cake-cutting ceremony was extra special, with the couple’s parents feeding them cake—a heartfelt nod to Shiva’s cultural heritage. This was followed by their emotional first dance, as their loved ones surrounded them in support and celebration.
Once the dance floor opened, the party truly began! With the Dhol drummers remixing classic wedding anthems and gay bar bangers. Guests danced the night away, making memories that would last a lifetime.
The reception also featured photo booths, sweet carts, signature cocktails, and Indian street food, making for a vibrant and immersive celebration. Every detail was carefully curated to reflect the couple’s personalities, ensuring their wedding was as unforgettable as their love story.
